Eligibility

Pass in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a
minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

Admissions

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test - 2013*.

 

*Important Note for MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, PG Diploma aspirants

As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated December 13, 2012, Manipal University will be conducting all India online entrance test (MU OET 2013) for admission to the following courses:

    • MBBS, MD, MS and PG Medical Diploma courses offered at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
    • MBBS, MD, MS and PG Medical Diploma courses offered at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore
    • BDS, MDS and PG Diploma courses offered at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal
    • BDS, MDS and PG Diploma courses offered at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore

Eligible candidates should apply to Manipal University and register for Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET 2013).

*Admission process for the programme may change if the MCI conducts the proposed All India Medical Entrance Test and Manipal University has to follow the guidelines/directions of the MCI. For details, visit www.manipal.edu

  • Candidates admitted to MBBS course within the first 500 ranks in the merit list are offered merit-cum-means scholarship
  • Scholarship amount shall be determined based on the parents' annual income (from all sources) as mentioned below.

Up to 5 lakhs 100%
Above 5 lakhs up to 7.5 lakhs 75%
Above 7.5 lakhs up to 10 lakhs 50%
Above 10 lakhs up to 12.5 lakhs 25%
Above 12.5 lakhs 10%

The merit-cum-means scholarships are subject to 5% of the general category intake and will cover only the course fee payable for the particular course of study. The candidate will however be required to pay the appropriate first year course fee (excluding scholarship amount), registration fee and caution deposit payable at the time of counseling / admission. This scholarship will not cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books etc.

NOTE: The award of the merit-cum-means scholarship for the subsequent years will be based on the performance of the candidate in the university examinations.
